About the Line
The Mary Catherine collection is inspired by the vintage childhoods of designer Amy Smart’s mother, Cathy, and mother-in-law, Rosemary—born just months apart on opposite coasts of the U.S.
Many prints pay homage to authentic 1950s childhood memories, including curtains from Rosemary’s childhood bedroom. Amy also collaborated again with her sister, Laura Miller (@LauraMiller.Studio), for the watercolor bows featured throughout the line. This collection is designed to stir cozy memories and capture the sweet nostalgia of mid-century family life.
