Updated for 50% Deposit Preorders & 100% Up-Front Preorders

Thank you so much for choosing to preorder with Farmhouse Fabric Shop! We’re honored to help you reserve the newest collections and special releases before they arrive.

To keep everything clear and simple, here’s how our preorder system works.

🧵 Types of Preorders We Offer

We offer two kinds of preorders, depending on the product:

⭐ 1. 50% Deposit Preorders

(Used for large kit releases and long-term preorders)

⭐ 2. 100% Up-Front Preorders

(Used for fabric yardage, bundles, notions, or items with shorter timelines)

Both types hold your item and guarantee availability once the shipment arrives at our shop.

💛 1. 50% Deposit Preorders

For select preorder items—such as Lori Holt’s Baked With Love collection—we require a 50% deposit at checkout.

Your deposit includes:

✔ 50% of the product price today
✔ Reservation of the product

Your remaining balance:

✔ The remaining 50% will be invoiced when the items arrive
✔ Must be paid before we ship your order
✔ You’ll receive an email with a payment link

This system is perfect for long-term releases (like those shipping in August 2026).

💙 2. 100% Up-Front Preorders

Many preorder items (especially fabric-by-the-yard, fat quarter bundles, precuts, and notions) are charged in full at checkout.

This allows us to reserve the exact quantities needed for your order and ensures you receive your item as soon as it ships to us.

You will receive:

  • A standard order confirmation

  • A shipment notification once your order goes out

  • Any updates if manufacturers change release dates

📅 Estimated Arrival Times

Estimated delivery dates are based on manufacturer timelines (Riley Blake, Moda, etc.). These dates can shift due to printing, shipping, or production delays outside our control.

We always update you if timelines change.

🚚 Shipping Preorder Items

  • Preorders ship once they arrive at our shop.

  • If your order includes both in-stock items and preorder items, they may ship together when the preorder arrives.
    👉 If you want in-stock items sooner, please place two separate orders.

❌ Cancellations & Refunds

Preorders are ordered specifically for you. Because of this:

🚫 Preorder deposits are non-refundable

🚫 Fully paid preorders are non-refundable

🚫 Preorder cancellations are not permitted

Exception:
If a manufacturer cancels an item entirely, you will receive a full refund.

🧵 Multiple Preorders / Combined Orders

If you place multiple preorders for the same release, we will combine them whenever possible at fulfillment time.
Shipping overages will be refunded.

💌 Communication & Updates

You will automatically receive:

  • A Shopify order confirmation

  • A preorder notice inside your email (for deposit items)

  • A final payment request when deposit-based items arrive

  • A shipping notification when your order goes out
